"The ITPI conference was inspiring, heart-warming, and wonderful! Consistent with the approach and philosophy of ITP, it was a true feast for the body, mind, heart and soul."
"In the presence of leaders in their fields, I received many powerful insights deepening both the clarity of my path and my appreciation for the integral approach. There are not very many places or practices that are truly integral - I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to attend this conference and look forward to another wonderful and enlightening experience next year."
Events
ITP International
hosts a variety of creative events to stimulate the intellect, support and educate the community and impart the core elements of transformative practice for practitioners and the general public. ITPI’s events, which include lectures, seminars and conferences, are designed to increase awareness for those new to ITP as well as long-term practitioners.

2011 Annual Conference
The Fourth Annual ITP International gathering, ITP and the Evolution of the Soul, featured Michael Murphy discussing the grandest adventure of all—the infinite dance of consciousness and matter, a dance in which we humans are privileged to knowingly participate.
Michael’s inquiry into the notion of co-creation brings into relief the paradox that evolution itself is both map and destination—simultaneously intimate and unknowable, foundational and aspirational. Our challenge—and our opportunity—is to attune to the dance with ever-increasing acuity, thereby assisting evolution toward harmonious organization and ever-greater complexity. Listen to Michael's presentations.
The integral event offered an experience of the four pillars of ITPI—theory, practice, community and research. The morning began with 70 participants enjoying the Kata led by Barry Robbins, followed by Michael’s talk. In small groups, participants explored the way the senses interact with the soul: How do we experience the soul? How has the soul made itself known in our lives since childhood?
The afternoon presentation began with a session of Leonard Energy Training (LET) led by ITP Mastery teacher Charlotte Hatch, followed by a continuation of the invigorating discussion of the morning.
In the late afternoon, Cassandra Vieten, Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), concluded the day’s formal activities with an announcement of research results, conducted jointly between IONS and ITPI, investigating the benefits of Integral Transformative Practice. Participants in the study were drawn from the ITP community, many of whom were in attendance. IONS has submitted the study for publication to peer-review journals. Read a summary of the findings. Listen to Cassandra's presentation.
As the formal presentation gave way to celebration, participants celebrated with food, music, dancing, lively conversation, hugs and laughter. Musical offerings by Tim Cleary’s Jazz Trio set the tone. Evening breezes graced the dance floor as jazz singer Annie Ellicott and concert pianist Amy Cottingham, both from ITP Tulsa, performed their own songs, delighting everyone with their unique style and musical range.

Kingdom of Golf Marathon Fundraiser
On September 9, 2011 at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael, California, a historic event took place. Twenty-eight brave souls (7 foursomes) entered into the mysterious for a good cause–the first ever ITPI Kingdom of Golf Marathon (KGM) fundraiser!
After morning check-in, the 28 initiates received critical instruction and inspiration for their journey: "Your time is limited, every stroke counts, watch out for hazards and mystery holes, commit fully, have fun and play with all your heart." You could feel the spirit of Shivas Irons in the air.
PGA Champions Tour player Bobby Clampett then delivered a stellar golf clinic indoctrinating the initiates into the very latest insights, approaches and technologies for maximizing their Impact Zone–the title of his new book and instructional approach.
Armed with enthusiasm, courage and a fair amount of wonder at it all, the foursomes ventured out onto the course in a "shotgun scramble" formation and the games began! A true hero's journey ensued with all the ups and downs, thrills and chills that just such a magical journey has to offer.
With the competition over and 54 holes played by each initiate, the foursomes gathered in the clubhouse to tally the scores, break bread and share some amazing stories and libations. Then, with support from PGA Champions Tour player Steve Pate, Apollo Astronaut Rusty Schweickart and pro golfer Kris Moe, Michael Murphy and Bobby Clampett led the group in an expansive exploration of the mysterious at work in both sport and life.
All in all, it was a huge success, raising not only $30,000 for ITPI, but the consciousness and spirits of all. Thank you to everyone for your generous contributions, participation and support. Look forward to seeing you at KGM 2012!

Lectures & Seminars
Throughout the year, ITPI presents evening lectures and weekend seminars with master teachers and integral visionaries to inspire and educate practitioners and the general public. In 2009, Zen teacher Richard Baker-roshi presented The Basics of Zen Practice: Transforming the Life We are Given, an integral practice lecture and weekend seminar at Cavallo Point, Sausalito, CA. Participants engaged in mindfulness and meditation practices and group discussion in a spectacular setting.
In 2010, ITPI launched The Seekers and Sages Evening Program Series to introduce the public to new concepts in the integral movement. High caliber speakers for this lecture series include ITP co-founder and human potential pioneer, Michael Murphy, CIIS Associate Professor Eric Weiss, and IONS CEO Marilyn Schlitz and others. The evening programs also involve sitting meditation, spirited Q & A and small group discussions. Held in the SF Bay Area in a salon-type atmosphere with live music and refreshments, these gatherings provide like-minded individuals the opportunity to deepen their learning together. Check our Calendar or contact us for The Seekers and Sages Series and other upcoming seminars and events.

Samurai Game
ITPI now hosts George Leonard’s invention, The Samurai Game
, a unique, intense and challenging leadership and teambuilding experience for ITP practitioners and the general public. Led by certified trainer, Lance Giroux, this weekend workshop serves to significantly deepen individual and organizational awareness, leadership effectiveness and team cohesion in a supportive learning environment. Participants learn valuable lessons that are applicable to everyday life situations. As with the LET workshop, The Samurai Game
reinforces the concept of “body as teacher” to increase awareness and effective decision making under pressure. Check our Calendar or contact us for upcoming dates of the Samurai Game
hosted by ITPI.
